Why are paediatric first aid courses so important?
Children and babies can look and seem well and then very suddenly become unwell, so the early intervention and care of children and babies is absolutely vital to their survival during an emergency medical situation.
We understand that the care of children and babies is very scary, particularly for parents who may have to provide emergency treatment to their own child.
This is why we have created courses that are aimed specifically at the emergency care and treatment of children and babies. The courses that we provide here will give anyone, whether they are the parent/guardian of the child, or they are professionally responsible for children, the skills to give the best possible care, and therefore, give a child the best chances of survival.
Our paediatric courses are aimed at:
► Foster Carers
► Nursery Staff
► Non-medical emergency service personnel
► Social Services Staff
► Anyone else who may encounter children or babies in an emergency situation
